Js13kGames（也称为 JS13K）是一个Game Jam，主要目标是制作压缩后不超过13KB的浏览器游戏，且必须使用ZIP格式压缩。[1][2][3]参赛者不能使用外部服务或函式库，所有游戏资源（如程式码、图片、音效等）也必须符合大小限制。[4]游戏需使用JavaScript和HTML5技术开发。[5][6][7]每年比赛都会有不同的主题，参赛者可以自由发挥创意来诠释主题。[8]获胜者可以获得奖金、数位奖励、T恤以及宣传品等奖品。[9]

历史

JS13K 于2012年由Andrzej Mazur 创立并主办。[10][11][12]比赛每年从8月13日开始，持续到9月13日。[13]自2017年起，比赛新增了一些类别，允许特定软件框架不计入档案大小限制。[14]2019年，JS13K与Coil合作，推出了“内容变现”类别，[15]并在 2020年获得Grant for the Web的部分资助，持续推动此类别。[16]

许多知名游戏设计师都曾参与过JS13K，包括马库斯·佩尔松（《我的世界》的创作者）[17]和 Ricardo "Mrdoob" Cabello（Three.js的创作者）。[18]一些为比赛开发的游戏后来甚至在Steam上商业发行，例如2016年的冠军作品Evil Glitch。[19]其他作品也在网络上受到广泛讨论，并出现在许多与比赛相关的文章中。[20]
