甲醯乙酸是一種有機化合物,化學式為C3H4O3。它可由蘋果酸、高碘酸和N-溴代煙醯胺在乙酸汞催化下反應製得[1],或由α-當歸內酯經高碘酸鈉/四氧化鋨氧化得到。[2]
在一種銥的配合物的催化下,它可以和甲酸銨反應,生成甘氨酸[3]。琥珀酸半醛脫氫酶(YNEI)可以使甲醯乙酸轉化為丙二酸。[4]
