普韦布洛人
外观
普韦布洛人(Pueblo)又被称作普埃布罗、蒲芦族,是一个传统居住地位于美国西南部的美洲原住民社群,主要生活在亚利桑那州及新墨西哥州等的沙漠地区。普韦布洛人的独特之处,在于他们并非游牧民族;而是居住在当地一种用泥砖(adobe)建成的建筑物内,并且靠农耕维生。这些泥砖建筑,最古老的有1300多年的历史。
“普韦布洛”这个字其实是西班牙语,意思就是“村落”。这个字是从拉丁文的“populus”(意即“人”)演变而来。
