用智能佛（巴利語：Medhaṅkara）是二十八佛中的第二位，比歷史上的喬達摩佛[1][2]早。他也是精髓劫的第二尊佛。[3]
在《佛種姓經》中，他被簡要地提及：
無數劫前，除渴愛佛、用智能佛、皈依佛和燃燈佛誕生於精髓劫。[4]
傳記
[編輯]他出生於Yaghara，是Sudeva國王和Yasodharā王后的兒子。成年後，他繼承了父親的王位，統治國家8,000年。當他看到四大景象時，他決定離開城堡。兒子出生後，便離開去森林修行。他苦修了半個月（15天）。之後在紫礦樹下成道。[5]
喬達摩佛的化身有機會見到他。成為佛陀的弟子，並向佛陀祈求他的願望。然而，佛陀沒有實現他的願望。死後化身成為欲界的天人。
用智能佛活了90,000年。他已經解脫了許多眾生。他與弟子們一起證得般涅槃。[6]
