托馬斯·莫爾·巴雷特（英語：Thomas More Barrett[1]，1981年4月30日—）是美國政治人物，自2025年起擔任密歇根州第七國會選區聯邦眾議員。2019年至2023年間，他擔任密歇根州參議院第24選區議員。[2][3]

巴雷特是2022年密歇根州第七國會選區的共和黨候選人，他輸給了時任民主黨籍議員埃莉薩·斯洛特金。他於2024年再次競選同一席位，擊敗了民主黨候選人小柯蒂斯·赫特爾（英語：Curtis Hertel Jr.）。

早年生活及教育

巴雷特於1981年4月30日出生於密歇根州紹斯菲爾德[4]，畢業於西密歇根大學並獲得政治學學士學位。[5]

美國陸軍及早期職業生涯

巴雷特於高中畢業後加入美國陸軍並服役21年。他曾在韓國、關塔那摩灣、科威特和伊拉克服役，曾參加過伊拉克戰爭和持久自由軍事行動，他又以二級準尉的軍銜在密歇根陸軍國民警衛隊服役，直至2022年退役。[6][5]

巴雷特於2014年首次當選密歇根州眾議院議員，險勝民主黨現任議員特蕾莎·阿貝。[9]2016年，他再次擊敗特蕾莎·阿貝當選。當時巴雷特的得票率為54%，而阿貝的得票率為43%，自由意志黨候選人馬克·洛德的得票率為3%。[10]

巴雷特於2018年當選密歇根州參議員，並於2022年擔任交通和基礎設施委員會主席。[11]

巴雷特直言不諱地批評密歇根州州長格雷琴·惠特默對新冠疫情的處理方式，並發起參議院第858號法案來規範州長在緊急狀態下的權力，但州長於2020年5月否決了該法案。[12][13]

巴雷特是2021年1月11名聯名致函國會的州參議員之一，他們要求對2020年總統選舉中的「可信的不當行為指控進行客觀透明的調查」。[14][15]巴雷特於2022年9月表示2020年選舉的合法性「不可知」。[16][17]

巴雷特與妻子阿什利以及四個孩子住在密歇根州夏洛特。[23]他的曾祖父路易斯·C·拉博於1935年至1947年以及1949年至1961年以民主黨人的身份擔任密歇根州第十四國會選區聯邦眾議員。[24]在第119屆國會開幕進行房間抽籤時，巴雷特要求同事空出朗沃斯大廈辦公樓的1232號房間（他的同事也照做了），這樣他就可以使用這間其曾祖父在1954年用過的辦公室。[25]巴雷特是天主教徒。[26]
