雜種優勢
外觀
雜種優勢(英語:heterosis)是一個用在遺傳學和人工育種上的術語。雜種優勢是指雜交種通過繼承其父母的不同的優勢,可能獲得一個更好的生物特性(但是也可能雜交後只繼承了父母各自的缺點導致變得更差)。[1]
雜種優勢一般和近交衰退相對比。
相對的也有遠交衰退,如雜種衰敗,雜種由於生殖隔離等原因不能產生後代。
