1925年氦氣法案

1925年氦氣法案（50 USC § 161）是美國為保護、勘探和採購氦氣而起草的一項法案。該法案授權徵用、租賃或購買具有生產氦氣潛力的土地。該法令同時禁止出口氦氣，但美國在當時是幾乎唯一的氦氣來源，這迫使外國飛艇使用氫氣而非氦氣以提供升力。該法案授權美國內政部和美國礦業局對升力氣體（英語：Lifting gas）升力氣體的實驗、生產、提純和研究進行管轄。該法案的通過為建立聯邦氦氣儲備庫（英語：National Helium Reserve）提供了權力。^[1]

氦氣私有化法案

第104屆美國國會提出四項法案，旨在將美國聯邦氦氣生產和精煉工作私有化。^[2]^[3]^[4]^[5]1996年10月9日，克林頓政府（英語：Presidency of Bill Clinton）正式通過《1996年氦氣私有化法案（英語：Helium Privatization Act of 1996）》，廢除美國聯邦氦氣提煉計劃。^[6]^[7]^[8]
