菲律宾家鼠属(学名:Apomys)是啮齿目鼠科的一个属,本属物种为小型的鼠类,广泛分布于菲律宾各岛上,除巴拉望、苏禄、巴坦群岛与巴布延群岛外皆有分布[1]。本属的学名Apomys中,Apo来自菲律宾的最高峰阿波火山(Mt. Apo),mys则来自希腊语的“老鼠”[1]。
外形
[编辑]本属的成鼠重量介于18公克(A. musculus)至128公克之间,外形与白足鼠属、姬鼠属、非洲柔毛鼠属等类群的鼠类相似。其尾长接近或超过头身长,眼与耳较大,背部的毛色较腹部深,具有两对腹位乳房(inguinal mammae)。本属可依外形与分子证据进一步分为Apomys与Megapomys两个亚属,其中前者的物种体型大小较后者小[1]。
