螞蟻礦機是比特大陸旗下的的加密貨幣挖礦機品牌。

技術

螞蟻礦機需要配合專門的挖礦軟件，不能使用第三方軟件。[1]另外，螞蟻礦機由於功率甚高，也需要配合專門電源供應器使用。

晶片

[编辑]

螞蟻礦機採用比特大陸設計的ASIC晶片，由台積電負責生產。[2]所有晶片均以BM字頭作為型號。每一部礦機裡都有3至4塊的電路板，電路板上則有數十塊晶片，因此每一部螞蟻礦機都只能夠用以挖掘一種或多種利用相同算法的加密貨幣。

半導體製程自2013年起，從55納米降至7納米。現時已知晶片型號如下：

比特大陸除了推出礦機外，也推出了ANTBOX。該產品是一個貨櫃，但配備不同用以放置礦機的設備，原意令人可以隨時挖礦。[53]

批評

壟斷市場

螞蟻礦機由於擁有高達70%的市佔率，經常被批評為壟斷加密貨幣挖礦產業，有違加密貨幣去中心化的目的。[54]其中門羅幣便由於擔心礦機壟斷挖礦市場，不顧門羅幣社群反對，於門羅幣礦機（X3型號）推出後數天便宣布更改挖礦算法，以致所有礦機都不能再被用以挖掘門羅幣。[55]比特大陸也在此遇上首個產品失敗。

浪費電力

螞蟻礦機在運行過程中會使用大量電力，產生大量廢熱。這導致大量電力被消耗，以供挖礦或冷卻，引起大量社會批評。[56][57][58]過多的螞蟻礦機同時挖掘也曾經導致火災[59]和停電[60]，造成社會不便。
