琉璃紫螺（学名：Janthina globosa）[3]，又名 长海蜗牛（学名：Janthina prolongata）[1]， 曾屬紫螺科Violetta[3][1]，但現時所有原被分類為紫螺屬亞屬的物種都被合併回紫螺屬[2]。

型態描述[编辑]

體長不超過40毫米[2][4]，最大的紀錄是38.5毫米[5]。螺殼薄，色淺紫藍[2][4]，近球狀[3]。

棲息地[编辑]

本物種的棲所都不超過水深13米的海域[5]。

分佈[编辑]

本物種为全浮游（英语：Holoplankton）贝类，廣泛分佈於全世界暖海域[3][2][4]，包括台湾[3][1][6][7][8][9]、中国大陆[3][10]、马来西亚[3][11]、阿拉伯半島東部[1][12]。
