We decided to upload an image to wikipedia for free non-commercial use because no image existed until now.
The SEM image had been taken at the TUHH in Aprol 2013. It gives insight to a so called 'closed-shell' aerographite variant. Since the first public report of the material and its synthesis in the scientific journal Adv.Mater. many improvements of the network honogenity and purity of the aerographite material had been done. - This image show one example of an improved inner structure since 2012. (all other aviable image material of aerographite in the public is out of the years 2011 and 2012).
